The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Toronto

This place has amazing customer service. The wait staff are awesome. The problem is the food quality....not good at all. We've come numerous times and the steaks are inconsistent. Newmarket location much better. Need to stop coming.

Always a delicious meal. Went here for a huge family gathering, 25 of us, and the service was fantastic. Beautifully renovated inside as well, could be my new favourite Keg.

Great location. The service is always really good and the manager is on the floor making sure it runs smoothly. Food is consistently good and bottles of wine are pretty economical for Ontario. Cons: Very busy, make a reservation or prepare to wait for awhile

Sadly, this used to be my favorite spot... Now they take reservations on the day of, and only allow 90mins seating time limit if you wanna sit on the patio. I called one hour before my reservation and told them we were expecting 15mins late - I would say that's generally the grace period for any reservation. And they deducted 15 mins from my 90 mins seating time! I don't put the blame on the employees in situations like this but I was very disappointed. It was already 6 and we didn't have other choices so we accepted it. I ordered right after we sit down and we kept eating without any talk after the food came and we barely finished our food when the time was up. Our server was sweet, but I never felt so uncomfortable dining at Keg. Very poor experience unfortunately, and plus the quality of food wasn't as pleasant as before. We probably won't be back, maybe give some try at other locations?

Unbelievably poor service. 2 days trying to book a table. Spoke to 4 different people and nothing. You just lost all my respect for you.

Honestly todays experience at The Keg was truly something else, their Filet mignon comes bacon wrapped and me and my party didnt notice that since we dont bacon, we asked our waitress if they can replace them with ones without bacon and they did that with no extra charge, the service was outstanding. Will of course come again. Thank You

Although the food is good, especially if you like beef (which I do), the best thing about this Keg location is the wait staff - they are very friendly and helpful! It IS a little noisy at dinner but not annoyingly so. Reservations are definitely recommended, as this is a very busy location.

I am very disappointed. The steak was not good. It was dry. The veggies were dried out as well and very unattractive in appearance. The past few years it has been like this. Years ago they used to serve glazed veggies with some type of spice and they were good. This happened to me a several times now and so I will not return. There are better steak houses. The only thing I was pleased with was the excellent service from our Waiter.

They made us feel very safe on the patio during pandemic regulations. Was nice to have a treat dinner out!

It was a wonderful evening, me and my girlfriend went for a dinner at this place. An incident happened with the food, i reported it to server Jenna, she was very attentive and quickly responded. Culinary Manager Maria was very nice, she apologized for what happened and took care of it. We were happy and had a great rest of the evening. Thank you guys for what you did. Food was amazing, especially Nachos, we love them. Keep up the good work. 👍🏻

Food was great. The waiter was very nice. The service was fast and and the bar never takes reservations so you can always sit there if it is busy. Try the double baked potato and the Billy Miner Pie. If you can't make up your mind between seafood and steak get the Sirloin Oscar as it always satisfies both cravings.

Ate here for a lunch meeting. The server gave us space as needed but remained attentive. I had the veggie burger. It was served without a bun due to dietary needs. Amusingly it was served on half a head of lettuce with sauteed veg on the side. The pattie was thick and one of the most delicious veggie burgers I've eaten. There is also a very good cauliflower bite option as an appetizer. Consistent place in North York for lunch.

What a fantastic place to enjoy great food, great drinks and atmosphere. Our host James, was absolute delight. Very knowledgeable and personable. I had this Kansas city top sirloin and it was delicious. MUST try!!!

Our Server, Andrew was superb. He made our experience at the Keg very pleasant. The food was great. I wasn't expecting much of a choice for vegetarian dishes but was pleasantly surprised to find out do many vegetarian items to choose from. Will definitely go there again.

I have an onion allergy. The waitress informed all of the kitchen staff and supervisor. I wish I had remembered her name. They all went completely of their way to accommodate me and check everything. With apologies and smiles. Best experience I've had in a restaurant in years. Sooo impressed! 💚

Great ambiance... nice decor, upscale, helpful waitstaff, friendly hostesses. Their chocolate martinis are always delicious - still the best one I’ve had (and I’ve had a few). The Keg burger was loaded and delicious (as always). The Caesar salad was ok as were the kids’ chicken fingers and fries. I didn’t hear any unsolicited rave reviews on the escargot, prime rib or the chicken salad but I got a few smiles after asking. I did appreciate that the kids’ meals came with fruits and veggies in advance of the meal (nice touch!). The Billy Miner pie, on the other hand, was a very good size and delicious (and free on your birthday) - yummmm!!!!This place gets super busy (it’s quite a popular location), therefore, parking was a challenge (as was their ‘no reservations after 5:30pm on a Friday evening policy’). I should said though that their reservations policy is better than other Kegs that don’t take any reservations and claim an average 1 hr wait time on weekends (the Vaughan location).

Great service! Patio is sanitized, safe and clean. Steak is great as always.

As always,this particular restaurant offers excellent food, good ambiance and great service. We had the Prime Rib which was divine, sirloin with Scallops and seafood. All was excellent and the birthday dessert was a pleasant surprise. We keep coming back here every time we celebrate milestones in the family and for good reason.

Went there for an early dinner and was seated in the bar lounge because the dining room was not yet opened. The wait staff were run off their feet, but our server still managed to be very pleasant and accommodating. The Chicago style ribeye steak that I ordered was perfect! I was very happy with the meal and the service.

This spot gives awesome service as well as delicious food. One of the best place ever. The drinks and food came out quick and the prices were fair. Will definitely recommend this place.

Great selection of steaks and prime rib cooked exactly to your liking. Servers very knowledgeable of the many selections of wines they offer. A little pricey but perfection costs a little bit more.

Good service, good food. Get the sweet potato fries as a side and baked brie as your appetizer! Delicious.

We were there on August 1 around 4:30. We sat on the patio and our server was Ryan. He has been the best server we have had at any Keg restaurant. He really went above and beyond to make our dinner special and he even gave little snack platters for our toddlers. We really appreciate the effort and we will definitely be back to this location.

During this pandemic, one of the things I miss most is The Keg. Whether eating dinner with my family and friends or having appetizers in the lounge, it's always my first choice. The atmosphere, service and food are always spot on. Please consider offering takeout with a curbside pick up. Here's my order:Appetizers - 1x nachos, 1x baked garlic shrimp and 1x mushrooms Neptune.Main Course - 3x 10oz filets cooked medium and 1x ribeye medium cooked Chicago style. You pick the sides.Writing my order is ridiculous, but it felt good just to write it.Wishing everyone at The Keg well during these challenging times, and I look forward to returning soon.

First time at this location. And it was fantastic. Said about 15-20 minute wait. Maybe waited 10. Services was incredible. Our server was on top of everything. But wasn't intrusive. I would definitely recommend anyone this Keg

The Keg is a great place for dinner! Their food is really tasty and their steaks are so perfectly prepared as the customers request. Nice atmosphere and a very cozy place to enjoy.....Personally, the only thing I am not crazy about us the lighting. It is very, very dark, like you are entering a night club. The lights should be brighter where people can see where the are stepping.

I must say that this location is outstanding. I live downtown where there are a ton of Keg locations but it is worth the drive to dine here. We recently dined here for a sweet 16 birthday with a large group and the service and food was great. The ease of ordering and the wait to receive the food was good. The server was attentive and friendly. Would definitely return.

The keg has a very nice atmosphere, pleasant seating and booths. Children friendly with high chairs available. The food is always quality and very delicious. A big variety on their menu, for whatever your taste buds may be in the mood for. One of the few restaurants that can actually make a steak properly (which is rare in a lot of restaurants) and I would suggest to try the shrimp appetizer. It is to die for. Bon appetite

Sadly, I have to give this Keg a four star, simply because I've been to the one in Aurora, and they got five stars. Still, this is a great place to go for good steak, and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Due to COVID-19 I had to get a bit creative, on how to celebrate Mother’s Day with my mom this year! I was so excited to see The Keg offering ‘celebration kits’ which come with all the ingredients, condiments and detailed cooking instructions to recreate our favourite meal from The Keg. The dinner turned out perfect, and my mom thoroughly enjoyed it! Thank you to The Keg on Leslie, and Mel who added such a lovely touch with a bottle of Prosecco and a lovely card wishing my mom a Happy Mother’s Day!

As always, the steaks are done to perfection. But even more importantly I was impressed by the safety precautions taken during these Covid times. I felt pretty safe dining here over the weekend despite all the craziness.

Excellent mid range price for a steak dinner. Always a good choice for me and my friends when we want something a little more upscale from our usual cheap eats. Steaks are really done well and the keg classics are usually our go to. Vibe inside is nice and really like a classic steakhouse. Patio is very nice in the summers. This is the place for the average folk who want a top quality steak for not an outrageous price. There’s a reason they’re so highly rated with thousands of reviews.

We were nervous about going into a restaurant during this pandemic to celebrate our anniversary. The Keg had things in order and everyone was respecting social distancing guidelines. Had a great time and felt safe.

I've been coming here with my wife for years. It's not always amazing, but what I love about the Keg is that it is consistently good. The food is usually cooked right and flavourful, the service is usually in point, the location has lots of free parking which is a nice bonus in a big city, and I generally like the ambiance of the place - good music, good atmosphere, good food. I recommend this location.

The food is good but quite pricey

Had an awesome experience yesterday evening, thanks to our hostess Dominque. Food was good, drinks were great, unexpected rain caught us a little on the patio but we were finished eating anyways.

my husband and I have been to this location before and haven’t had the best of luck in the bar, we find the service to be slower and not as friendly or attentive but the wait in the dining room was far too long for us so we decided to give the bar another shot ! The service was above and beyond what we expected and our night was turned right around ! Our server Dominica recommended the feature a steak with lovely seafood topper and a side of gnocchi, it was cooked to perfection and delicious. drinks came out promptly and everything we needed we got within moments ! we had mentioned to her that we had prior bad experiences in the bar and she got us a free dessert. way to go Dominica!
